ARGENTINA: Gas deal sealed with Bolivia
Argentina's President Néstor Kirchner and his Bolivian counterpart Carlos Mesa signed a deal yesterday whereby Bolivia will supply Argentina with 4m cubic metres of gas over the next six months. Chile was swift to register its displeasure at the agreement, which stipulates that the gas must only be used within Argentina and cannot be re-exported.
