CUBA: Lula visit provides boost for tourism sector

The visit of Brazil's President Lula to Cuba provoked a flurry of opinion pieces arguing that Lula was exacerbating the frisson with Washington after the debacle at the recent WTO meeting in Cancún. Cuba's Premier Fidel Castro did his best to talk up the importance of the visit, claiming that 'Cuba is very honoured. This is the best trip we have had.' He embraced Lula before he stepped on to his plane.
