PERU: Fujimori's star rises as Toledo's falls further

Former president Alberto Fujimori has been confirmed as more popular than incumbent President Alejandro Toledo, in the latest opinion poll carried out by Apoyo. This despite the fact that 66% of respondents accused him of embezzlement and 49% of being the intellectual author of the murder of 16 people at Barrios Altos in November 1991 and nine students and a professor who were shot dead at La Cantuta university in July 1992.
